My son and I would like to thank you, and the members of SHPE that attended the cook out on Saturday. Not only do we appreciate the financial scholarship, but we
really value the importance of meeting these wonderful professionals. Their commitment to increase the number of Hispanics engineers is incredible. Ian received a wealth of advise and information. He expects to become active in the chapter at Purdue.
Again, thank you for the wonderful food and your gracious hospitality.

My son is currently in eight grade and is thinking about a career in one of the engineering disciplines. He attends Whiting Middle School and in the fall of 2009 will attend Whiting High School. The Whiting school community is comprised of a aproxmiately a 50% Latino student population base. If the organization isn't already sending member representation to talk to the students at the Whiting School, what steps need to be taken to make this possible? |
