Sales Manager Date: 8/13/2009 Position Type: Full Time Start Date: November 9, 2009 Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Provide sales/marketing leadership to the business in developing strategic sales and growth plans and coordinating their execution. - Provide sales/marketing and customer insight input and guidance to the leadership team.
- Partner with other functions (technology and engineering) to identify how technology can act as an enabler and differentiator of business strategy.
- Build and maintain a project portfolio with appropriate balance of: resources spend per product; mature vs. growth products; reactive vs. proactive technology.
2. Facilitate efforts to translate customer needs into innovative products and customer solutions. - Function as the business senior representative in building and maintaining strategic customer relationships.
- Translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets.
- Understand customers' needs and partner with other company functions to develop technology solutions to meet them.
3. Provide functional leadership of a high-performing sales/marketing organization. - Provide leadership and talent-management across the sales/marketing group(s) of the business.
- Develop goals and measures for Sales/Marketing effectiveness in the business.
- Implement systems and tools that optimize effectiveness within the sales/marketing function.
- Lead and implement key people processes such as compensation management, engagement, performance-management, career-development, job descriptions, selection and training for Sales/Marketing employees.
- Align and optimize the deployment of Sales/Marketing and Technology resources within the Business functions, as well as leveraging non-FlamencoNets/External resources.
4. Innovate, advise and implement quality solutions that enable the strategic business plan including research, development, applications, technical service, intellectual assts and regulatory activities. - Predict and develop concepts for products, systems and technologies to meet customer expectations.
- Effectively manage the intellectual assets of the business.
- Enhance sales/marketing job family effectiveness through collaboration, knowledge capture and sharing.
- Identify, coordinate, align, and hold accountable internal functional resources and external resources.
Requirements/Qualifications: - B.S. (IT, science, business) required.
- Strong business/technology background required with 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic capabilities and management experience in business and/or technology.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for company growth.
- Experience in managing complex projects.
